Payment & Insurance
Dr. Christine Dickson's fees are a reflection of her specialized education, training and extensive expertise. She encourages you to view therapy and counseling as a caring way to invest in yourself and/or your loved ones’ health and wellness. Please call her office at (925) 523-1397 to discuss her fees.
Dr. Dickson is not on any insurance panels. However, if you have a PPO that covers your use of an out-of-network provider for mental health services, you can use your insurance coverage to see her.
Dr. Dickson can provide you with a bill listing the dates and fees of your sessions as well as a diagnosis code. In this case you would pay her directly for each session and then you would submit the bill for your reimbursement from the insurance company.
In addition, you should also consider the advantages of paying directly for therapy services, rather than through your insurance. Here are the following advantages of paying directly for services:
- There is no compromise of your confidentiality by sharing information with your insurance company.
- Your insurance records do not include information of you receiving mental health services.
- There is no need for me to label you with a diagnosis to justify to your insurer that you are in need of services.
- All decisions about the focus, frequency and duration of therapy are made by you and Dr. Dickson not by the insurance company.
